Hailing from Canada’s capital, Stro’s start in the industry began far from where he is today. After building his name as a director and producer and working for an award-winning agency, he took a leap of faith and left everything for Hollywood. He hustled hard to get his foot in the door, working freelance gigs and later for DanceOn. Keen to tell stories with no limits, he filmed skits with friends purely for fun in his spare time. That changed after one video after another blew up. He moved into the 1600 Vine building, home to some of today’s biggest internet stars. There, he started directing content for stars like Lele Pons, Hannah Stocking and AdamW—helping them attain millions more followers. It was around then that he met Jesse. Together, they combined their different expertise and founded Room 1041—the name a tribute to Stro’s then apartment-turned-hub. Stro is widely recognized as having a pulse for discovering and fostering internet talent.
