Cracking the Code from Short Form to Long Form

There’s always been this ongoing debate in the creator world: short-form creators versus long-form creators. And let’s be honest, the transition from short to long form is no walk in the park. Everyone talks about how hard it is—and for good reason. Growing a long-form audience is incredibly challenging. But it’s also the holy grail for creators. Why? Because long-form content offers the most sustainable business model. It’s where you can build depth, loyalty, and a foundation for long-term success.

I’m incredibly proud of how we’ve cracked this code for so many creators. One standout example is Topper Guild. When Topper started working with us, he already had over 20 million followers on TikTok and a few million on YouTube. But it was all short-form content. That’s what he knew. That’s what he excelled at. But Topper had a big dream: he wanted to master long-form content. And he wasn’t just casually interested—he was serious about it.

Topper embodies one of the rare traits of top creators: relentless consistency and discipline. No matter what, he doesn’t miss a post day. He knows that showing up, every single time, is the bedrock of success. For over a year, he stuck with it on YouTube—posting consistently, spending the money, navigating tough moments, and constantly iterating. Our big shift happened almost a year in, moving from challenge videos to a storytelling format. This new format started to click. And when it did, we doubled down.

Today, Topper averages over 5 million views per episode. He’s building the business he’s always dreamed of. Being a part of this journey has been nothing short of inspiring and something our team is very proud of.

Another project I’m proud of is our work with Keemokazi. He came to us with over 30 million TikTok followers and millions on YouTube but no real long-form traction. Right now, we’re in the process of cracking that same code for him. We’ve found success with a reality show format, Life with the Hesris. The concept made so much sense—it’s a natural extension of the family dynamic his fans already know and love through short-form content. Viewers are connecting on a deeper level, and the response has been amazing.

But the rules haven’t changed: consistency is key. To keep growing, we need to show up every time with high-quality episodes that keep the audience engaged. We’re on the path, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.

Transitioning from short to long form is tough, but when you crack the code, it’s a game-changer. For creators like Topper and Keemokazi, it’s about more than just views—it’s about building something lasting. And for me, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping make that happen. Stay tuned.
